Learn To Canoe With Lowestoft & District Canoe Club
Welcome to the Lowestoft and District Canoe Club. Here you will find all you need to know about paddlesport in the area.
Are you looking for some basic training, safety information or useful tips just to make your paddling experience on Oulton Broad more enjoyable? We can help!! Sign on for one of our training groups and you will be helped through the process by fully qualified coaches of the British Canoe Union – hopefully to achieve one of their awards to show how competent a paddler you are.
Whether you want basic kayak or canoe training or wish to progress to something a little more adventurous we can help. As you skill level builds why not join club members paddling white water, surf or sea? Or, how about the Devizes to Westminster annual 125 mile canoe and kayak race (cast iron bottom required though for that one!)
All are welcome to paddle provided you are 10 years old at least. There is no upper limit; we have many paddlers in their 60s. It’s a fantastic way to help keep fit for all the family. There is no better way if you want to get up close and personal with the local wildlife on the Broads. In a canoe you get to the smallest reaches of the network where larger vessels cannot go.
If this has wetted you appetite hopefully you will find out all you need to know in these pages. Feel free to give us a call or send an email if you have any questions.
